Santa Fe’s 14th Japan Cultural Festival will be held Saturday, May 19 from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center near the Santa Fe Plaza. It’s a family day featuring stage performances and activities in the court yard reminiscent of the festivals of Japan. Admission is $5 for adults, and free for children under 12. This year, we welcome Tiffany Tamarabuchi and JODAIKO as our headlining performers. Tiffany Tamaribuchi, an internationally recognized taiko master, achieved acclaim touring with taiko pioneers Ondekoza and Taikoza. In the traditional taiko realm of Japanese born and trained male performers, Ms. Tamaribuchi creates a new powerful voice with her multicultural heritage, youth, and feminine perspective. Her vitality reaches extremely diverse audiences throughout North America, Europe, and Japan.
